Going Above and Beyond: Kennesaw Driver Helps Family in Need

Recently, one of our professional drivers, Demethric H., demonstrated exactly what that means when he stopped to help a family facing a dangerous situation on the side of the highway.

While traveling his route, Demethric noticed a broken-down vehicle that had begun to catch fire. The occupants—two adults and a baby—had already called 911 but were unaware that flames were developing beneath their vehicle.

Recognizing the potential danger, Demethric safely pulled over and quickly sprang into action. Using the fire extinguisher from his truck, he was able to put out the fire before it could spread further, helping protect the family and prevent what could have become a much more serious incident.

After ensuring the situation was under control, Demethric contacted our Safety Department and informed them that he would be replacing his fire extinguisher so he could remain compliant and prepared for future emergencies.

His actions reflect the professionalism, preparedness, and willingness to help others that we value at Kennesaw Transportation. While our drivers are trained to operate safely and responsibly on the road, moments like this remind us that their impact often extends far beyond the freight they haul.
