Kelly Patrick
President/CEO
Kelly started working at Kennesaw in 1982 as she attended Kennesaw State University and Young Harris College. In 1987, she became a full-time employee working in Recruiting, Safety, Accounting, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations. Over 35 years later, she is the President/CEO of the company that her parents, Pat and Linda, founded. Kelly is currently on several boards, including the Georgia Motor Trucking Association, and as a balance to her professional life, she enjoys her dogs, Jeeps, football, boats, and traveling.
James Seely
COO / VP of IT
James joined the Kennesaw Transportation family in June 2010. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina. He had 25+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry before joining Kennesaw to oversee their information technology systems. He was promoted to VP of IT in 2019 and most recently COO in 2020. James resides in NW, GA, with his wife and has three children and four grandchildren who keep him moving when they are around. James enjoys restoring and maintaining classic cars and trucks, listening to his vinyl record collection, and is an avid online gamer.
Kim Spurgeon
Vice president
Kim joined Kennesaw Transportation in November 2019 as VP of Safety and Human Resources. She came to Kennesaw with over 26 years in Safety. She holds her CDS from the North American Transportation Management Institute and is an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Kim currently resides in the North GA area with her two children, who inspire her daily. In her free time, Kim enjoys playing tennis and taking walks with her pup “Sadie.”
Melody Kuzy
CFO
Melody Kuzy is the Controller for Kennesaw Transportation. With over 25 years of accounting experience, she is responsible for managing the accounting and financial operations of the company. Melody graduated Suma Cum Laude from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting. While in school, she received the Coopers & Lybrand Outstanding Auditing Student of the Year Award. She provides strong leadership to her team, emphasizing integrity, service, and innovation. In her spare time, Melody enjoys outdoor adventures of all types, travel, and reading.
Derek Sito
vp of sales
Derek joined the Kennesaw Transportation family in July 2022. He earned a B.S. in Business from Miami University. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the transportation industry. Derek has been married to his wife, Cheyenne for 15 years. They have 2 children, Asher and Olivia, and reside in Cartersville, GA. Derek enjoys watching sports and collecting guns.
Kasey Goley
Director of operations
Kasey Goley is the Director of Operations. She has been with Kennesaw since February 2015 and was promoted to Director in 2021. She has been in the transportation industry since 2005, when she started brokering loads. She is married with two daughters and a son-in-law. They have a house full of fur babies. When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her family. “I know that without God, I am nothing!” She always smiles to let her light shine, because you never know who may need it
Howard Brown
Director Of Maintenance
Howard has 23 years of maintenance and mechanical experience and strives to learn something new every day. He believes in doing the best job possible in all aspects of his career and life – as the saying goes, “if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right!” He lives in Calhoun, Ga, with his wife and son. He is an avid golf and loves anything to do with cars.
Kelley Jones
DIRECTOR OF RECRUITING
Kelley joined Kennesaw in 2005 as a driver recruiter. She loves working with people every day. Kelley describes herself as a “people person” very outgoing and kind to all. Kelley enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, and nine grandchildren. She is involved in her church and loves to read, watch good movies and cook.
