Georgia Truck Driving Championship May 11-12th Lake Lanier, GA
Drivers across the state are revving their engines as the state competition begins!
The Georgia Truck Driving Championship is a competition of winners in eight classes competing from 50 State Trucking Associations. The Trucking Driving Championship allows the professional truck driver to demonstrate the talent and skills that have made them a leader in the field. The competition is a tribute to the professional truck drivers. Each Driver competing has a chance to demonstrate their driving skill, knowledge of their profession, attitude toward their job, and responsibility for safety on America’s highways.
We are pleased to announce that Kennesaw has two of our very own professional drivers competing in this year’s state competition. These two individuals will compete amongst 180 other professional truck drivers in the state. They will be scored on several tests that consist of precise maneuvers, their knowledge of safety rules and regulations, and their ability to inspect vehicles to determine that they are in safe operating condition. Drivers are also interviewed and judged on their attitude and character. The winners of these events will move on, resenting their state at the National Trucking Driving Championship hosted by the American Trucking Association August 16 – 19th in Columbus, Ohio.
We are very proud of these two individuals. They have not only shown their dedication to Kennesaw but to our industry. Please join us in congratulating these two individuals on their upcoming competition, and let’s get ready for some fierce driving competition!
